Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Serve as one of the most important members of the Proofpoint sales team.
  • Be relied on daily as you work closely with other members of the sales team to deliver the most successful security platform available.
  • Get to know your customers well, as they utilize you for their technical point of contact through the entire sales cycle.
  • Develop and tell a compelling story that will excite your customer and have them begging you to tell them more. Your story will include an amazing product demonstration, followed by a proof-of-concept, and ultimately a sale that you will take pride in being a part of.
  • Design complex email and data security solutions and be a part of the building of quotations for customer sales presentations.
  • Periodically assist in professional services deployments, technical training, and industry seminars and/or trade shows.
  • Provide valuable customer insight and real world experiences to Product Management, Marketing and Product Development (Engineering) teams to help keep our solutions the best in the industry.
  • Become an expert in Email Security Gateways, Advanced Persistent Threats, Attack Protection, Threat Response, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and what the bad guys are up to.
  • Help solve one of the biggest issues to face IT in the last 20 years.
